About IMS
The Indian Military School, Pulgaon, was established in 2003. It is located near Hiwara (Hadake) on Arvi Road, Pulgaon, in the Deoli Tehsil of Wardha District in the state of Maharashtra. The school is spread over an area of 33 acres.
The school runs classes from the 6th to 12th standard and is a fully residential school for boys. Its main aim is to prepare students for the National Defence Academy (NDA). A variety of sports and co-curricular activities are organized alongside the academic classes. The students are continuously motivated to join the defence forces. For this purpose, the school organizes visits from serving and retired defence officers. Furthermore, students are taken on educational tours to the NDA in Khadakvasla and other defence establishments.
The school’s faculty includes a retired defence officer who serves as the Commandant, and two retired military instructors who, along with the Principal and teachers, are responsible for imparting military training to the students.
